Marie Nation, DVM is the owner of Pet Nation Veterinary Care Center. Dr. Nation graduated from the University of Illnois - Urbana in 1981 with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (honors). After experiencing a mid-life crisis, Dr. Nation fulfilled her life's ambition by receiving her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota in 2004. She and her husband Gary share their home with Eowyn (a Cardigan Welsh Corgi), Edward (a Pembroke Welsh Corgi), Picard (a Papillon) and three sleepy cats - Lewis, House, and Slo-Mo. Dr. Nation is very grateful that so many clients have entrusted their cherished pet's care to Pet Nation.
Tanya Lewis, DVM graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. Becoming a vet has always been a lifelong goal and dream for Dr. Lewis and she is so excited to finally be able to call this her career. She thoroughly enjoys preventative medicine, surgery, and dentistry, both in small animals as well as horses. She owns two horses - Dusty (a 28 year-old Arab/Saddlebred gelding) and Alejandro (a 4 year-old Paso Fino gelding), as well as a 3 year-old miniature donkey named Emmitt. Among the smaller furry family members, she has two rescued kitties - Gomer and Foster - and a very friendly chinchilla named Chuck. Dr. Lewis is so happy to be able to have worked with so many different four-legged friends through Pet Nation, and is looking forward to continuing to help make a difference in your pet's lives!
